1. The diffusion and promotion of the Special Inspection System
|

1) SACL is authrized to issue labels for inspected machines and newly-
manufactured machines under the guidance of the Ministry of Health,Labour and Welfare.
The label is Purposed to identify the date of inspection or shipment.
1,186,343 of the label sheets for registered inspectors were issued from
January 2008 to December 2008.
Labels issued for hired inspectors totaled 532,278 from January 2008 to
December 2008.
Labels issued for the shippers of newly-manufactured machines totaled
131,165 from April 2008 to March 2009.

2) SACL is authorized to issue recording sheets for special inspection under tne
guidance of the Ministry of Health,Labour and Welfare. |

3) SACL grants licence Plates indicating authorized special lnspectors to our members.

2. Education
|
|
|
SACL organizes the following education courses for the inspectors,
|
|
|
1) Qualification course.
SACL conducts the qualification course for inspectors.
3,562 persons finished the course from April 2008 to March 2009.
|
|
|
2) Training course
SACL conducts the training course to upgrade the technical level of
inspectors for forklift and construction machinery. The numbers of the
inspectors having finished the course from April 2008 to March 2009 is
as follows:
Forklift course ----------------------------------- 1,087 persons
Construction machinery course ------------- 1,318 persons

3. Modernization of the maintenance industry
|
|
|
1) Rationalization
SACL carried out a study together with corporations in the maintenance
industry to seek promotion of its effective of business operations and
technological upgrading.

|
|
2) Survey
SACL conducted a survey of the maintenance industry dealing with folklifts and
construction machinery under the Small and Medium Enterprise Modernization
Promotion Law.

|
3) Orderly operations
SACL carries out studies in cooperation with the members on the establishment
of an approvable and orderly service system.
|
|
|
4. Publication and Guidance Service
|
|
|
1) Publication
a) SACL issues the bimonthly bulletin, "Construction and Loading Machines"
b) SACL distributes posters and leaflets on safety operations to members once
a year.
c) SACL conducts a nationwide Promotion for the special inspection in November
every year.

|
2) Guidance
SACL conducts movements for guidance in the diffusion and promotion of
special inspection and movements to promote the technical level of members.
These activities are carried out through the local offices.

|
3) Preparation of manuals for maintenance works, etc.
SACL prepared and delivered manuals for maintenance works and safety
operations.
|
|
|
5. Research and Survey
|
|
|
In carrying out its activities, SACL manages five regular committees composed
of manufacturers, users and service shops.
Special research requested by the Ministry of Health,Labour and Welfare and Ministry of Economy,Trade and Industry is carried out by ad hoc committees.
